Antarctica Travel Tips

Why Antarctica21?

We pioneered the air-cruise to Antarctica and understand all the complexities of ensuring a smooth, safe, enjoyable adventure. Our team knows the region intimately and we love sharing our expertise with guests. What’s more, this is our backyard. Our company was founded in Punta Arenas, Chile, the traditional gateway for the first Antarctic explorers, and it remains an ideal base of operations today.

Air-Cruises Fleet

Our fleet includes three boutique expedition ships: the new Magellan Explorer, Hebridean Sky and Ocean Nova. We use BAE-146 aircrafts to fly to Antarctica.

MAGELLAN EXPLORER

New and modern, this expedition vessel was custom-built for our Antarctic air-cruises to the latest Polar Code specifications.

HEBRIDEAN SKY

A small, all-suite expedition vessel, this ship was built in 1992 and refurbished in 2005. In 2016, the ship underwent an extensive, multimillion-dollar renovation that transformed it into one of the finest small ships in the world.

OCEAN NOVA

This ship is a sturdy and nimble expedition vessel that was built in Denmark in 1992 to sail the ice-choked waters of Greenland. It has a strengthened hull that is ideally suited for expedition travel in Antarctica. The ship was fully refurbished in 2006 and since then has benefitted from annual upgrades and improvements.
